Hurricane Melissa has brought widespread havoc to the Caribbean and caused at least 25 deaths in Haiti, and 8 in Jamaica. CARE is among the aid agencies mentioned by USA Today responding to this Category 5 hurricane. CARE is coordinating its response with a network on women-led local partners and distributing much needed first aid supplies, including emergency food, water and water treatment tablets.
