CARE to celebrate 80 years at 8th annual Impact Awards in New York City

Bellamy Young to receive inaugural Global Women’s Advocacy Award, presented by Shonda Rhimes. William S. Mosakowski and Salimata Dagnoko will also be honored at the event. The evening will feature special performances by Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Aloe Blacc and spoken word poet Emi Mahmoud.

New York, N.Y., November 10, 2025CARE — the leading humanitarian organization dedicated to saving lives, defeating poverty — announced today the honorees who will be recognized at the 8th annual CARE Impact Awards, which will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Cipriani South Street in New York City.

The 2025 Impact Awards will celebrate CARE’s 80th anniversary and pay homage to the moments that have shaped the organization’s work and legacy — from delivering the world’s first CARE PACKAGE® in the aftermath of World War II, to leading bold responses to today’s most urgent crises. Immersive storytelling and powerful tributes from CARE staff, partners and celebrities will help raise awareness and funds for CARE’s work around the world.

The awards ceremony will also feature humanitarian and world-renowned poet Emi Mahmoud performing an original piece she wrote to pay tribute to CARE’s impact and a special performance from Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, and activist Aloe Blacc. The honorees will be recognized for their philanthropy, activism, and groundbreaking work to further humanitarian action across the globe.

  • William S. Mosakowski, Founder and CEO, Public Consulting Group LLC, CARE Impact Award for Excellence in Philanthropic Leadership
  • Salimata Dagnoko, Community Leader and Entrepreneur from Cote D’Ivoire, CARE Impact Award for Excellence in Women’s Economic Advancement
