The Independent: "Super El Niño will hit women the hardest, charity warns: 'We should be very worried'"

In an article in The Independent, Walter Mwasaa, CARE’s Regional Director for East and Southern Africa, warned that the coming super El Niño should be treated as “a women’s health problem.” In both rural and urban communities, women face the greatest health risks and carry the heaviest burden of holding families together through drought and flooding.
