In response to the floods which struck Southern Thailand in November, The Starbucks Foundation and Starbucks Thailand committed THB 1 million (approximately US $31,500) to CARE International and its local network member, Raks Thai Foundation, to expand community kitchens and food distribution in Pattani, Narathiwat, Yala and Hat Yai and support other recovery efforts for families impacted by the floods, with particular focus on women and the most at-risk.
