The U.S. is the largest contributor of foreign aid worldwide but the Trump Administration wants to change that, announcing huge cuts to foreign assistance. Not so fast, say a group of aid organizations including CARE, who have banded together to strategize and combat the budget cuts.
Liz Marcey, a senior policy advocate at CARE is quoted in a VICE Impact story about the NGOs’ efforts.
“We are quickly pivoting from advising Congress on our points of view to being a major support for congressional offices to help challenge some of the assumptions the office of management and budget are making,” she said. Read the story here.
