A positive future for women commonly known as "UMWIZERO" Project aims at improving women economic status by 2010 through women solidary groups capacity building in micro-finance, saving and credit schemes, life skills promotion for women( reproductive health, literacy, resources management and conflict management) HIV/AIDS fighting and involvement in women rights promotion in 3 northern provinces of Kayanza, Kirundo and Ngozi.
Care works with 40,000 women as members of solidarity groups, the programme will be implemented through partners chosen according to their expertise. ABUBEF is member of IPPF and is working in Burundi since 1989 in reproductive health, HIV/AIDS sectors. APDH is involved in human rights promotion through capacity building for local community and local institutions. |
