| Project Description: |
| This project aims to reduce mortality, morbidity, and malnutrition caused by diarrhea and water borne diseases by promoting better hygiene practices, environmental sanitation and safe water supply among one million slum dwellers of 24 city corporations. The major components are: sanitation, personal hygiene, environmental cleanliness, diarrhea management, food hygiene and use and management of safe water. The project also has a social development component, which covers gender mainstreaming, nutrition education, oral rehydration therapy, birth registration, early childhood development and HIV/AIDS. |
