| The project will target 3 towns(Kasongo, Samba, and Kibombo) and 27 large villages (with priority given to villages with an health clinic and/schools) situated along the main roads linking Kasongo-Samba and Kibombo.60 wells and sources will be rehabilitated and protected in order to provide potable water to a population of 50,000 people. Health and hygiene committees will be created or reactivated to disseminate health and hygiene messages and to ensure proper maintenance of water points. Training will also be organized to promote appropriate technology to manufacture local soap and jars, build latrines, protect wells and sources, etc. |
