C&A Foundation has partnered with CARE for several years, supporting programs that align with the C&A Foundation’s goal to transform fashion into a fair and sustainable industry where all participants thrive. In Bangladesh, C&A Foundation supports CARE’s work on behalf of Myanmar refugees, providing funding to focus particularly on the psychosocial needs of refugee women. C&A Foundation and CARE have also collaborated on a program to build resilience within Bangladeshi communities, establishing action plans and launching volunteer firefighter training to address the routine shocks and stresses that hit urban slums. More recently, CARE and C&A Foundation have launched a program in Indonesia, prioritizing the need for data transparency to support labor negotiations for garment worker unions in the industry.
