Penny Young Nance, President Trump’s expected ambassador for women’s issues, is already drawing opposition. Heather Higginbottom, CARE’s chief operating officer, told Politico that Young Nance’s “experience and her track record don’t demonstrate a commitment to gender equality.”
“She should not be the U.S. government’s ambassador on these issues to the world.”
