Join 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, a global campaign to end violence against women and girls.

A portrait of a woman wearing a light pink head covering. The words

Women everywhere should be able to enjoy life without fear of abuse, harassment, and violence.

A world for women without fear is one where she can walk home at night, go to work, get an education, travel abroad, and do so much more without the risk of experiencing violence, harassment, or abuse. Yet, in all corners of the world, this is not her reality.

Gender-based violence is a global problem of epidemic proportions – one in three women worldwide will experience some form of gender-based violence in her lifetime, undermining all areas of daily life, including her health, her education, her work, and her livelihood.

Women’s rights, safety, and well-being matter, no matter where she is or what she is doing.

A world without fear is possible for millions of women if U.S. leaders properly invest in global programs that prevent and respond to gender-based violence and address women’s unique needs.
