Bustle profiled CARE’s Azraq Film School in Jordan highlighting the stories of film school participants like 17-year old Asma Abdel Rahman Sleiman and 20-year-old Afrah Khalid al Kayed, both Syrian refugees restarting their lives in Jordan’s Azraq refugee camp. The story quoted CARE staff including Justine McGowan, on the Innovation team and Sara Rashdan, from CARE Jordan. “The kids noted that they had all of these people coming in from around the world to tell their stories and that they could tell their stories better than anybody else,” says McGowan.  “This enables young people to tell their stories directly, both to each other and to the rest of the world.” Read the story here.
