CARE Corporate Council

CARE believes that the private sector can play a critical role in accelerating progress toward gender equality. CARE Corporate Council’s convenes ambitious companies, across sectors, to do just that.

Council members, who each designate an executive to sit on the Council, share best-practices on gender equality in supply chain and workforce, among others, and work toward a deliverable that will fill a gap in the push for gender equality. This is likely to include a focus on gender equality in supply chain and workforce, gender-based violence, and use of media/marketing. The Council is driven to ensure we’re not leaving behind women that are most vulnerable and need the most protections.

To date, we have successfully held two roundtables with corporate executives regarding the role of the Corporate Council and how the private sector can do more toward gender equality. The coming months will include a webinar to share best practices and a convening to work toward a “playbook” for the private sector.
