How to Donate a Car to CARE

  1. Complete the form
    Fill out our easy-to-use online car donation form or call us 1-888-755-5452. We just need some basic info about you, your vehicle and where your vehicle needs to be picked up. If you have any questions about vehicle donation, please visit our FAQs below.
  2. Arrange a free pick-up time
    Your vehicle will be scheduled for pick up within 24-48 hours.
  3. We tow your car
    After a few weeks, you’ll receive the tax deductible receipt that you’ll need for filing your taxes.

FAQ: Donating a Car to CARE

What can I donate?

We can accept almost all car donations. We also accept donated trucks, motorcycles, boats, snowmobiles, trailers, and recreational vehicles. If you would like to donate your car, please go to our Car Donation Wizard, or call 1-888-755-5452.

How much of the money from the sale of my vehicle goes back to CARE?

Donating a vehicle to charity can be confusing. Many charity car donation programs promise to help the charities but are run by third-party processors that return very little to the charity. Our partners at Advanced Remarketing Services return a higher percentage than other vehicle processing entities. What documents do I need to donate a car to charity?

Our Car Donation Wizard will tell you what is required in your state. Most states require that you have a clear title to the vehicle; some states also require a notarized signature to complete a donation. If you cannot locate or have lost the certificate of title, call us. We can help you obtain the proper documentation.

How do I receive the tax deduction when I donate my vehicle?
