
Diane serves as the Regional Director of Latin America and Caribbean for CARE. She has more than 20 years of experience in international development, humanitarian relief, poverty reduction, and public health programs, including in Latin American countries such as Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia, Panama, and Honduras. Prior to joining CARE, Diane held various positions with private sector companies and has worked with international NGOs like Plan International, Food for the Hungry and the Peace Corps, where she has held several leadership roles, including her most recent role as Country Director for Gaborone, Botswana.
Diane’s approach towards optimizing people’s potential is by inviting them to stand in their own strength and identify their path forward leveraging resources for innovation and true partnership. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Southern Illinois University, a master’s degree in international administration from The School for International Training, and she is also a bilingual (English/Spanish) Certified Professional Coach.
