George A. Willis

President of UPS, West Region

George Willis is the President of the West Region for UPS. He is responsible for all delivery operations in 25 central and western states in the U.S. In the West Region, UPS delivers and picks up more than 16 million packages and documents each day and has over 160,000 employees. George has held a number of positions at UPS during a more than 30-year career with the company. He began his UPS career in 1984 as a part-time package handler in Georgia. In January 2011, George accepted the assignment of Vice President of U.S. Operations. Previously, George served on the San Diego County United Way Board of Directors and was an Executive Committee Member on the Orange County United Way Board of Directors in California. He also worked extensively with the Black Executive Exchange Program (BEEP) and 100 Black Men of Orange County. George holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Trinity State University and attended Morehouse College in Atlanta. He also participated in the INSEAD Business School, Columbia Executive Education Program and Yale CEO College Program. George joined CARE’s Board in 2016.
